SUPER 8 Rouge 0.0 wins gold at the World Alcohol-Free Awards 2025
Boortmeerbeek, 4 April 2025 - SUPER 8 Rouge 0.0 has won gold at the World Alcohol-Free Awards 2025. This accolade - as the only Belgian winner with a true 0.0% alcohol content - is a wonderful boost for the alcohol-free beer, which has only been on the market since June 2024.
Having previously won bronze at the International Beer Challenge, SUPER 8 Rouge 0.0 is now also internationally recognised as one of the absolute best in the fast-growing segment of alcohol-free drinks. And with good reason: this beer is absolutely alcohol-free, and contains noticeably less sugar than other similar beers. It combines the familiar pleasure of cherries, a touch of cranberries and a fresh-fruity balance between sweet and sour. It is this healthy, refreshing and 100% alcohol-free experience that wins over consumers and judges alike.
"This beer's rich red colour tells you what to expect - and it totally delivers in the glass. With delightful flavours of sweet cherry and almond on both nose and palate, it's tangy, refreshing and beautifully balanced. Cheerful carbonation and a bright finish make this an excellent food beer - or a vibrant pick-me-up after exercise." - World Alcohol-Free Awards, judges’ tasting note
"Alcohol-free and low-alcohol quality beers have quickly become an important category in the beverage offering. Consumers want to enjoy more than ever, and are looking for a tasty and quality experience. The fact that we can excel in this category with an award-winning product that is also low in sugar and calories makes us particularly proud and motivates us here at Haacht Brewery to keep innovating together." Philippe Michiels, Communications Manager.
Established in 2022, the World Alcohol-Free Awards is the world's first competition dedicated entirely to drinks with an alcohol content of 0.5% or lower. The 2025 edition brought together 32 international judges in London to award the best alcohol-free products in 15 categories.
